This pretty holiday cottage, is situated in the peaceful village of Shalfleet, and can be found within the northern end of the grounds of the owners own family residence Shalfleet House.
Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a stone’s throw of the breath-taking Newtown Nature Reserve, it’s just perfect for couples and families wishing to enjoy the West Wight and is a great choice, whether it be for a full week’s holiday or just a short break it's also dog friendly too.
A single storey self-contained cottage, providing ideal accommodation for up to four guests, There is ample parking for up to two vehicles adjacent to the property and it has its own enclosed garden area with patio, garden furniture and BBQ.
Internally you have a choice of two interconnecting double-bedrooms to choose from, there is a cosy lounge to snuggle up in front of the wood burner and a Smart WiFI connected TV (no aerial) You will also find a well equipped kitchen, separate dining room and modern shower room.
The owners are also more than happy for you to make use of the on-site tennis court, if you want to brush up on your backhand and serve, Just let them know during your stay ahead of time when you would like to use the facilities so they can ensure its available for your use.
The Isle of Wight has some fantastic beaches to explore, Totland Bay is less than a twenty minute drive away where you will find a bar, restaurant and a café to try the local seafood, experience some of the finest sunsets or enjoy a stroll along to neighbouring Colwell Bay. There are spectacular views across the Solent to mainland England, with clear, calm waters and a gentle sloping sand and shingle beach.

LOCATION:
Within easy reach of the cottage are an abundance of footpaths, for walks through woodland and the surrounding countryside. Alternatively, hop on a bike and peddle along the 32 miles that make up the Red Squirrel cycle path, part of which follows the old steam railway line. A short drive takes you to the attractive seafront at Shanklin, which is often bustling with people gathering at one of the many restaurants or choosing a favoured spot for swimming and sunbathing along the extensive sandy beach. There's a variety of amusements to entertain all ages, including crazy golf, arcades and ice cream stalls. If you like exploring, then Shanklin Chine is a must, with its natural beauty surrounded by waterfalls, streams and rare plants. The entrance is situated within Shanklin Old Village amongst popular local restaurants, pubs and thatched cottages.

Bedroom 1: double-size bed, dressing table, hanging rail, bedside cabinets (interconnecting doors between bedrooms)
Bedroom 2: double-size bed, chest of drawers, bedside cabinet (interconnecting doors between bedrooms)
Shower room: single shower cubicle, toilet, sink with vanity unit beneath and heated towel rail
OUTSIDE
Enclosed garden with grass and patio, including garden furniture and barbecue
Allocated parking for 2 vehicles adjacent to the property
Tennis Court, you are most welcome to use the court, please just make sure you speak with the owners first, to let them know when you intend to use it, so they can ensure its ready and cleared for your use.
ADDITIONAL CHARGES / SERVICES:
PLEASE NOTE: a pre-authorised, refundable, security deposit of £150 will be required before arrival at the property. No money will be taken unless any damage is reported at the property within 14 days of your departure.
This property can accept a maximum of 1 pet(s). The charge is £35 per pet, per week and we kindly ask that you bring your own bedding for your pet(s). Please ensure that you correctly add your pet(s) when making your booking, so this additional cost is included. If it becomes apparent that you have brought a pet(s) with you but did not advise us, we will contact you to request payment separately.
There is no electric car charger on site and guests are prohibited from using the mains electric in the property to charge a car, unless agreed prior with the owner of the property. If it becomes apparent a car is being charged without approval, then the guest may be charged an additional amount to cover the extra cost.

Great cottage in a lovely peaceful location. Comfy beds, a great shower. All the basics in the kitchen Good base for exploring all the island has to offer. Would definitely stay again. Communication from Emily was excellent.

Lovely place to stay. Very clean and quiet. Well equipped and wifi worked well. Village shop and pub within walking distance. Communication was clear and directions straightforward making it easy to find.

Your cottage is a perfect little holiday retreat in a gorgeous peaceful setting, Thank you for being such an attentive hostess. Yarmouth is a very quaint little village not far from here , but there is so much to do and see on this lovely Island.
